So it's the first day of work! Haha. Lots of really funny things happened. Oh, I was almost late. So I had to cab down instead. Argh, wasted 5 bucks. Thr's a new manager! No more Firdaus. It's Aris from now on. Anw, he's really nice, so it's good. I kinda like the job, it's quite fun, really. And the people thr are really nice, apart from Ivy, who's...kinda fierce but alright. It was, confusing at the start, but after you get the hang of taking some orders, refilling some drinks, then it all starts to get easier. Haha, thr's Guan Yan, my primary school friend, who helped me alot. He was...voluble but I like him, as in, he's really helpful. Oh, here's one of the funny thing. I HAD TROUBLE WITH TOMATO SAUCES. It's a long story, thr's 2 incidents. I heard wrongly, I heard TOMATO instead of TOBASCO. But the customer wanted tobasco, so...mistake! Anyway, the second incident was funny! Haha. Well, finally, I'm watching Prison Break once again. So I've heard, this will be the final season. Awww, tt's kinda bad to hear. Stayed up watching it till 3.30am ytd. And moved on to watch Man U Vs West Brom. I was dozing off on the sofa, occasionally opening my eyes to check the score. And when Man U were up 3-0, I decided I couldn't take it anymore, I need my slp. So I ended up waking around 2pm. Man U won 5-0, in the end. I'm still tired, for idk what reason. Today just sucks! Argh, I'm tired from morning till night. And apparently, Kim felt the same too. She was annoying, I swear. "Shut up." Met her at West Mall's Singtel. The damn office is so narrow and small. Pathetic. But...who cares? We're giving flyers outside. We did not even get to enjoy the air-conditioned areas. Instead, the security told us Singtel did not ask for permission to distribute the flyers in the mall. So we had to do it outside the mall. Damn freaking hot larrrrr. Damn freaking tired arrrrr. And the whole day, I felt like I was abt to fall asleep anytime. And for the whole day, bread was the main food. Oh! Tun came to see us for awhile. And hlped us take a stack of flyers. Thanks! Long time no see, you're of great hlp. We also saw the Shatec students who worked with us during the NYP period. The girl was so kind cos' she took the entire stack from Kim and said something like, "Come I help you distribute." Haha! But West Mall sucks like... I've got a serious question. Why are SOME humans afraid of a little flyer? Hahaha, if you can't answer it, it's fine. Because the reason is simple, they do not want it. So after some psychological thinking, I figured, they are actually NOT afraid of them, but they are trying to look like they are, so we'd leave them alone. HAHAHA. But, no way! I'm not gonna leave them alone!? I'm gonna like pester and pester and pester, till they take the DAMN FLYER! Haha, kay I'm joking. Of cos' I am right?! Anyway, caught "Changeling" ytd. Pretty cool show? I think...ppl who loves literature, loves it. But I don't love literature, so how come I like it? THAT EXPLAINS IT. I don't love it, I only like it! Thr's a difference, people. So what happened today? Haha, met up with Kim, Ang and Gina today early in the morning around 10am. Waited for a guy named Junjie, who told us what to do. Anyway, it's an easy job! Junjie treated us drinks even before the job starts. Cos' it took forever for the flyers to be delivered. Anyway, it was kinda...fun! We just keep giving and giving, and nv taking anything back. The correct way of living life is to give, and not take. Yes, tt's wht church taught me. Enough crap! So paired up with Kim for awhile, then Ang, and we found some really nice locations whr ppl will just take and take, and we'll just give and give. Flyers aren't tt hard to give! I figured I shld do it often. If Sharinces has more of such flyer-giving job, I'm in! Haha. Anyway, it was fun, but also tiring. Just ask the others! We stood the whole day, but thank goodness, we managed to clear at least 2 and a half box of flyers. Commendable! Pay rise! Knocked off at 8pm. TOMORROW IS A VERY IMPORTANT DAY. COME ON COME ON! TIME, PLS GO FAST! Haha, okay, lemme enlighten some of you guys, how I decided to spent my entire day-before-the-results erm, day. Lol! It's really simple. I woke up this morning, brushed my teeth, flipped to the sports page on The Sunday Times, read it awhile, and the maid says "lunch." So I went to eat, said thank you, went back to read the papers, and went online. Had a nice conversation tt went from courses-tv shows-animes-games. Headed to Reina's and Renate's birthday party. The latter turning 7, the former turning 2. Good food is just what I need. I need all the energy for tmr, or I'll probably faint from over-eagerness. So the party came at the right time, the right moment. I ate so much, I almost ate up the whole table. Okay, tt's exaggerating, stop it! Lemme continue my day's story. So after the party, next stop, Jurong! Which is...my home. Hahaha, alright, the rest of the day was spent sleeping. I'm serious, sleeping. I woke up 30mins ago, only. Wonder why I slept? Today was...alittle better than ytd. But, it was also more tiring than ytd. I reached NYP around 9.43am, and none of my grp were thr at all! So very soon, Sharinces called and told me tt my new grp members will call me. And very soon, a girl called. As in, immediately. She's an Indonesian. And you'll knw more abt her later. There's this girl, who went up to me and said she was supposed to work with me. I thought she was the indonesian girl! So I went up to get her a shirt. But after I got her the shirt, the indonesian called and told me she's waiting for me outside the food court. Oh, so tt girl wasn't her. Anyways, went to find the indonesian and 2 of her friends. Got up and got shirts for them. Told them the simple stuffs, as in what to pack and all. So the interesting thing is, I even have to become a deliveryman's assistant! I'm the only guy! So everything, from the large box of bags to the small but heavy boxes of post-it pads, I'll have to take it. Deliveryman: Hi. Me: You want a bag? D: Erm, no, I'm the one tt delivered everything here. Me: Oh. So Sharinces called me and asked how we are doing. I said the goods were really impossible to finish clearing...so she said the deliveryman will bring some back. Deliveryman: Okay, I don't think you can finish clearing today right. I need you to do some rough work alr. Me: Oh okay okay sure. So he got me to go up and down, pushing a cart, with 6-8 big boxes of bags. 3 times! Haha, it was tiring man. So we managed to get around 12-15 boxes of goods into his van. And he said I shld get a pay rise. Yeah of cos' man! Tt's exactly IT! But of cos' tt's not wht I said, I just smiled back. Maybe I'll really get a payrise, who knows! LOL. I must say I'm really smart. Hahaha, as those boxes of bags were impossible to finish, I took 300 of them and distributed 50 each to the foodcourt stall vendors! They took it willingly. Tt's a fantastic way to clear ur bags. I'm smart, thank you. (: HAHA. Oh hey 2 of the indonesians are really irritating. They packed like 5-6 post-it pads into a single bag, and sometimes a bag into a bag. Tt's not how it works! But hell, they are trying to hlp clear, I understand... Haha, so one of them actually told me to go distribute instead. Indonesian: Hey, you can go distribute, we pack? Me: Huh? ( acting blur ) Indo: Cos' you pack very little into the bags. Me: Oh, ok? ( WTH? ) Then one of the better indonesians looked at me, wondering if I'm angry. But hey, it's alright, indonesians. I'm a forgiving person, just don't do it again. There will nv be an AGAIN. HAHAHA! Kay so Sharinces asked everyone to go back to NYP, Kim's really pissed with tt. But lol, the whole grp did came back. Me and Kim were kinda...outsiders among the grp. They were all joking abt and we were just not joining in the laughter. Thr's way too many bags, and way too little stuffs to pack. I guess I'll just have to give the bags to those cheapo aunties. Anyway, I found out today, tt I'm an extremely hardworking chap. Alright! Hello guys. Woke up really early today. Like...9am! Wah, very very early leh. I almost didn't wanna get up. I almost wanted to tell the others I'm not going. In the end, I really didn't go. But I went to work! Hahaha. Yup, Kim called and told me abt an empty vacancy, so...why not? So I changed my course from Tiong to Yio Chu Kang. Took me awhile to get thr man. NYP's quite nice. But nah, I'm definitely excluding it from my list of 12. It's too far, doesn't Yio Chu Kang sound far?! So I met Kim, and she brought me to this person in charge. Wow, come on ppl, her name's Sharinces! I got my shirt, and started working. So the work's pretty simple. You pack, you distribute. Others pack, you distribute. You pack, others distribute. It's for Singtel, anyway. Thr's lots of nice ppl around polys, I don't even have to distribute most of the time. They'll just come in a grp and ask "Can I have 1 pls?" And I'll say "Oh sure, (:!" But thr's also some ppl who can't hlp but strike me as GUAILAN! Me: Hi, do you want one? ( holds up the goodie bag) Unknown: Do I look like a secondary school student to you? Me: Ya. Unknown: No I am not. Hey, Singtel youth plans actually applies to ppl 21 and under, unless you are over tt age, you can take one I'm pretty sure. But come on, I'm not tt petty, I'll let this unknown go this time round. Then thr's some who are always so happy to receive a goodie bag. And thr's some who dare not ask for one but stands near you so you'll be auto and give him or her one. Haha, but mostly these ppl, I'll not give. Then they will have no choice but to ask for one. Or they will go find others like me. Oh and thr's the CHEAPOs. Most of them are aged 30 and over. They will come in a grp, and all laughing and asking for one goodie bag. 5 ppl were stationing at NYP. Haha, and thr's unlimited amount of goods over thr. So we have to keep working and working. The others?! They were given 500 bags only. Once they finish distributing, they'll return to NYP. 500 only leh, the hardworking ones are all us. OH, Kim says she saw Nick Tang! I almost wanted to go and find him and say hi, maybe apologise? But come on, I'm busy. And Hilwa and Justina! How nice to see familiar faces so far from home... There are lots of weird characters in polys lar, you'll have to meet them to believe wht they can do. I'll give you an example. Thr's this malay guy, he claims he's an alumni from QSS. So he stood at our packing place looking at us for a long time, then he suddenly held up his hand and ask, "You all want sweet?" HAHAHA. Crazy. Okay, so around 5+ we started slacking. Made some new friends! And one of them is a seasoned Samsung promoter. So he said he'll recruit us if we wanna work nxt time. Tt's nice. So ate at the food court in NYP with Kim. Thr's this irritating girl, she laughs like a witch, wth! Totally treat NYP's foodcourt as her's! If I got gun, I sure shoot. So annoying, lemme eat in peace! So trained home after tt. Didn't really feel like posting. I'm tired! But...some ppl can't wait to read wht I've been up to lately. Fans, most of them. So, to the fans! HAHAHA. Kay, cut out the crap! I went for a typhoid jab today with Kim. Expected SATA Medical Centre to be some really nice, air-conditioned hospital or clinic. But I was so disappointed when I saw what it really was. Wth, it's not what I imagined it to be! Okay, it WAS air-conditioned. Or was it the fan? I don't know. But it was not a nice place! What did I expect? It's located at Chinatown, oh...tt place seriously, full of crap. Kim can't find her way there, so kinda waited really long for her. Lucky, the jab was quick, we didn't even have to queue up with the others. So decided to make our way to Vivo. Shei came to meet us. She was, according to her, bored to death at home. Hey, I was the one who saved her. At least I saved a life today. Who can say they have done the same in a single day? Kay, enough crap! The whole day was then spent shopping around. Kim wanted to get herself a black jeans but dropped the idea in the end. Probably wants to sew one herself...who knows. HAHA. So we went into White Dog. Tt's when all the funny conversations happened. I am ashamed of myself, I can't remember most of them. SIRNAMES...tt's all I really remember. So we spent quite alot of time inside although we ordered really little. Everything looks nice in Cold Storage but in truth...they actually SUCKS! Ya it's true. LOL. Kim was being real annoying from CS onwards. If I got a gun, I sure shoot. Oh we saw Randall, the celebrity. We saw Xy, Zixi and NgShihui. When we were waiting for bus, we saw Jiaying and Yx. This is seriously, the most funny joke ever. HAHAHA. So today I stepped into the bank. And I got myself a queue number, 018, and sat down, awaiting my turn. The staffs were attending number 016 and 017 at tt time. After I waited for 10-15 mins, this happened. Woman: Hey, boy, can I ask you ah, wht is ur queue number? Me: Erm...( showed her the ticket ) Woman: Huh? Why did they give me such a big number? ( she showed me her ticket, it was queue number 504 ) Me: Oh...I don't know. The woman then proceeded to talk to the staff who gave her the queue number. And I could not stop laughing. Woman: Eh, why you give me such a big number ah? Staff: Oh, you shld not be sitting here, wrong place. It shld be inside. Woman: Orh orh. ( but continued sitting thr ) HAHAHA I HAD TO ACT AS IF I WAS LOOKING AT A FUNNY MSG. Perfect! Today can simply be described as...wonderfully perfect. Firstly, in the morning, I got the most anticipated call EVER in my life. It's from the HQ! You can never imagine how I jumped for joy in my father's car after conversing with the staff. Just...incredible, cos' I almost wanted to call them myself today. Secondly, I'm officially 17 today. Hahaha, I know I know, I'm old. Thanks for the celebration and gifts, people! It's way beyond any celebrations in my life. I love every card, every gift, everyone. And for those who didn't come, it's okay, I appreciate the participation in the gifts. I sound mature right, tt's the way a 17 year old shld sound like. Haha! Kay. It's just...perfect. The first day of 2009 feels very special. Hahaha. I had the best countdown ever in my life ytd. Emotions running high, cute performances, great presents, and resolutions. It was another great experience, to say the least. Anyway, met up with Jiheon in the afternoon of the last day of 2008. So he wanted to shop, AGAIN. And me wanting to be kind, accompanied. I especially hated one sentence he said to me. But I shall not type it here. Haha, Jiheon, I don't even think you know what it is urself! I'll skip the in-betweens and go straight to the bbq at Jin's relative's place. Me, Kim, Jiheon, Ang, Lionel and Irish were thr. It was nice. Lots of things happened lar. Like the opening of presents, making of resolutions, and the performance by Jin's cousins. Lotsa stuffs, won't be blogging everything out! But it was special. Made our way to Gina's hse after tt, to meet the rest. Only me, Kim, Jiheon and Ang went. Jiheon left awhile after. Talked alot, chatted alot, and tts the start of 2009.
